Description

Ro – the huge golden net is the main way to earn the living of fishermen in Cua Dai estuary, Quang Nam province, Vietnam. This traditional work is usually active in the dry season from January to July lunar calendar. After lower the net for several hours and use lights to attract fish, fisherman lifts it up and sails small boat underneath the net, open small holes to collect fishery. The work begins from previous sunset to next morning, they earn about 200.000 VND (US$ 9) for a night of work.
