Along Hanoi Ceramic Road, our group captures the soft hues of early morning light illuminating intricate pottery. Mid-morning, we explore the vibrant process of drying colorful fabrics, revealing rich textures and patterns under natural light. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Hung Yen, where we photograph traditional soy sauce production, observing skilled artisans in action. The day concludes in a bamboo basket village, offering refined compositions of craftsmanship and rural life. Our group begins the day capturing the soft morning light on waterlilies, a tranquil and refined subject. We then proceed to Hanoi Airport for a short flight to Hue. Upon arrival, attention turns to the Imperial Citadel, where the interplay of natural light and historic architecture offers rich photographic opportunities. Mid-morning, the group explores Thanh Tien, a village renowned for its traditional paper flower craftsmanship, offering intimate portrait and detail opportunities. In the afternoon, we visit an ancient temple in Hue, where we photograph the delicate ritual of releasing flower lanterns and lighting candles, creating a quiet, reflective atmosphere. We begin the day in Hue, capturing the striking architecture of an abandoned park centered around a monumental dragon structure. Later, we travel to Da Nang to photograph the rare red-shanked douc, notable for their vibrant colors and expressive faces, offering unique primate portraits. By afternoon, we arrive in Hoi An for an intimate portrait session with a Vietnamese elder, highlighting character and tradition. As evening falls, the group explores the atmospheric night lantern market, culminating in images of the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge illuminated against the night sky. Our journey continues to Phu Yen, where we photograph the longest wooden bridge, visit a coracle-making factory, and conclude the day capturing sunset scenes with iconic boats in Phu Yen’s tranquil lagoon. We visit a village celebrated for its traditional coracle boat craftsmanship, providing unique photographic opportunities to document this artisanal heritage. Later, we proceed to Khanh Hoa province, where the coastal landscape and maritime culture offer a fresh visual narrative. The day balances the dynamic activity of fishing life with the careful observation of boat construction techniques, presenting a focused exploration of Vietnam’s enduring connection to the sea.

The group focuses on Khanh Hoa’s salt farmers working across reflective flats, capturing the precision of their craft in early light. Attention then turns to the careful repair of fishing nets, highlighting the skill and dedication involved. Seasonal changes influence other coastal scenes as we move toward Phan Rang Thap Cham.
