Vietnam provides fantastic photography opportunities throughout the year, with each season showing different aspects of its beauty. The best time to visit often depends on what you want to photograph and which parts of the country you plan to see. For example, the dry season (from about November to April) in the north and south has nice weather and clear skies, which is perfect for taking pictures of landscapes. The central part of Vietnam has its dry season from around March to August. Traveling with a good tour company and guide like us will help you be in the best places at the best times to capture amazing photos of Vietnam, no matter the season.

Citizens of the following countries can visit Vietnam for tourism without a visa for the time listed. Most other nationalities need to get an e-visa (see below). Visa rules can change, so please always check the current rules with official Vietnamese sources before your trip (as of April 2025).

  • 90 days: Chile, Panama.
  • 45 days: Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
  • 30 days: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Singapore, Thailand.
  • 21 days: Philippines.

If your country isn't on the list above, Vietnam has a simple online system for getting a visa called an e-visa. This e-visa lets you stay for up to 90 days and allows you to enter the country multiple times.

You can easily apply online through the official website: Apply for Vietnam Tourist E-visa . After you apply, check your email for the registration code. You can use this code to print your visa or look it up on the official Vietnam Immigration Department E-visa Search page .

  • Hotels: You will stay in 5-star hotels or the best available hotels in more remote areas.
  • Transportation: We provide private, air-conditioned vehicles just for our tour activities.
  • Meals: You'll get three standard meals included each day.
  • Drinks: We provide unlimited bottled water throughout the tour.
  • Fees: All entrance fees for sites and any fees for models are covered.

  • Flights: You will need to arrange and pay for your flights to and from Vietnam.
  • Travel Documents: You will need to pay for your Vietnam visa and personal travel insurance.
  • Personal Expenses: Money for personal shopping and tips for our team is not included.
  • Drinks: Alcoholic drinks (unless specified) are not included.
  • Other Services: Any services or transportation that we don't specifically mention in the tour plan are not included.

Our tours work well with different kinds of cameras, including DSLR, mirrorless cameras, drones, and even mobile phones.

We offer optional photo editing sessions as part of our tours and workshops. If you're interested, we can provide post-processing lessons to help you enhance the images you capture in Vietnam. For these sessions, you'll need Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop.
